About Silky Kitchen
Authentic Hunan Cuisine
Silky Kitchen is a chinese noodle in Long Island City, New York. It is listed at 3002 39th Ave Retail Space 1, 30-02 39th Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101, which places it among the local businesses of Long Island City that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Long Island City; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 11 AMโ8:45 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (845) 617-6578. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, silkykitchen.com.

Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Long Island City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were huge! Everything was freshly made to order, and you could really taste the freshness. We ordered several dishes, including the pork with bamboo shoots, and everything was flavorful, authentic, and perfectly seasoned. The spicy dishes were especially satisfying and went perfectly with the rice. Great value, generous portions, and freshly cooked food. Weโll definitely be back!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I placed a delivery order through Fantuan for three meals. Unfortunately, the app did not provide any option to leave special instructions or allergy notes. Immediately after placing and paying for the order, I called the restaurant because I have a garlic allergy. I explained that all three meals needed to be prepared without garlic. The staff told me that two meals had already been made, but one could still be changed. I explained that because this is an allergy, I could not eat food containing garlic. We then asked if they could at least remake one meal without garlic. The employee said they would check with the kitchen and call us back. Instead of calling back, the restaurant simply handed the order to the delivery driver. When we called again to ask what happened, a male employee answered the phone with an extremely rude attitude. He interrupted us, asked whether we were Fantuan or the customer, and then said, "Can't you understand what I'm saying? I already told you the food was made." When I explained that we had called immediately after placing the order and that the app didn't even allow allergy n

Had a great meal at silky kitchen in LIC. We ordered the spicy pig trotters, spicy ribs, and green beans, and everything was super flavorful and perfect with rice. A great spot for comforting Chinese food in the neighborhood.
